Make sure to crouch when throwing.

As shown in gif you can aim at any of those 3 points, and in general you can throw anywhere between the 3 indicated spots, except for the middle of the bottom and middle indicated dots(or the center of the brick line), because it hits a really small edge sticking up from the ground in mid.
There is lineup standing on right side, but the indicated area isn't as clear.
